Wash Towel Title Graphic
  1. Use only Teri-Towel® Products. Call Toll Free 1.888.234.9431 for your nearest Teri-Towel® distributor.
  2. Mix 3 tablespoons of #1 Oxidizer, 1 tablespoon of #2 Detergent and 1 tablespoon of #3 Enzyme (blue scoop provided) with 4 gallons of hot water in the #60 Sprayer. For best results, mix just prior to using. (For one gallon, mix 1 tablespoon of #1 and one teaspoon of #2 and #3.)
  3. Warning: Although this method should not cause the carpet to change color or texture, pre-test each surface to be cleaned in a hidden area. Check for any color or texture change. If this occurs, stop testing and call Teri-Towel® Systems Co.
  4. Spray 64 oz. (about one minute) of mixture on 200 square feet of carpet; one gallon of mixture will clean approximately 400 square feet of light to medium soiled carpet.
  5. Lay a #10 Natural TowelTM flat on the damp carpet. Align the #50 or #80 Towel Machine plate on the towel. Make sure that the towel is laying flat without any creases or wrinkles. If the towel bunches up, re-set the towel. Do not operate the machine with a wrinkled or creased towel as it can cause the machine to become difficult to operate and can also damage the carpet.
  6. Release and lower handle to a comfortable position. The machine will operate with or without the handle locked. Turn on the machine. For thorough cleaning, the machine should be guided straight ahead at the pace of a very slow walk. For easier forward control put slight downward pressure on locked handle. (There is usually no need to move the machine back and forth or side to side since the plate is already oscillating in all directions in its normal action, but sometimes a different direction or back and forth will aid in better cleaning.) Move machine over the 100 square feet of dampened carpet in a north/south direction, then stop the machine.
  7. If the moisture has not gone completely through the towel, flip the towel and continue to clean the same 100 square feet in an east/west direction, otherwise change the towel and continue to clean.
  8. If a spot remains, it is probably deep in the carpet pile. Using the corner of a #10 Natural TowelTM, rub by hand deep into the carpet pile in a north/south and then east/west direction. Look for transfer of the spot onto the towel. If necessary, spray a small amount of solution in the specific area and continue to rub moving to a clean area of the towel until spot is gone. If no transfer, try using a small amount of #6 Spotting Gel. Apply gel to carpet and rub with clean area of towel. Look for transfer of the spot onto the towel. If none and the spot has color, (red, blue, brown, yellow or orange) it is probably a stain and could require one, two or three hot treatments of #4 Stain Remover.
  9. Spray Once Title

  10. Spray the next 200 square feet and repeat steps 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  11. Some carpets require more than one cleaning. For second cleaning, spray only 32 oz. (about 30 seconds) per 100 square feet and follow steps 5, 6, 7 and 8.
  12. Always turn off the machine if a noise develops. Because of the unusual oscillating action, be sure to check for loose nuts and bolts before and after cleaning. Use a liquid lock tight (medium strength) if necessary. Other maintenance required is to remove the towel lint from the bottom plate as needed with the #43 Lint-Remover Comb and keep the machine clean with an occasional spray and wipe using a #10 Natural TowelTM.
  13. Do not operate machine on carpet without a #10 Natural TowelTM. Keep the machine moving to prevent heat buildup and to avoid blooming.
  14. Caution! Some carpets and irregular surfaces cause the machine to be difficult to operate. If this occurs, try one or a combination of the following: 1. Change the direction of the machine. 2. Try pulling machine backwards like a tractor pulls a plow. 3. Lock the handle in an operating position. 4. Put upward or downward pressure on the left handle bar.
  15. Always wash the #10 Natural TowelsTM with the following products. (Clear 1 ½ oz. scoop provided.)
  #1 Oxidizer #2 Detergent #3 Enzyme

Large Load
14 to 18 #10 Natural TowelsTM
1 Scoop 1 Scoop 1 Scoop

Due to excess lint from towels, remove lint from washer basin and dryer trap before and after drying towels.
